Sigrid Calon Tea towel with a Tilburg twist

This series of tea towels is artist Sigrid Calon’s tribute to weaving, the technique that once made the Tilburg textile industry great. Inspired by authentic Tilburg weaves from the TextielMuseum collection, she created a contemporary interplay of colour and texture. The frayed edge gives a peek into the production process, showing exactly which yarns and colours were used in each place.
