Studio Minale Maeda is fascinated by the narrative ability of textiles: the patterns, colours, textures as well as the techniques of weaving and printing. The inspiration for Tweened Damask was the Art Nouveau patterns in the damask by decorative artist Chris Lebeau. The design also references the zoetrope, an animation technique from the early days of film. Shifts in the design give the illusion that the pattern is moving, giving the dining table with a rich, dynamic look.
This table cloth is also available in deviating/different sizes. Pleasse contact us via salesby@textielmuseum for more information.
