We believe that everyone has a connection to cloth. Textiles of all kinds are closely linked to our daily lives: we wake up with them, wear them and use them in our homes. There was a time when we knew exactly how these textiles were made. We saw grandma selecting her wool, casting on stitches and heard the click of her needles as a blanket slowly took shape. The traditional production process has now been modernised – and in many cases mechanised – and become invisible to many people. We no longer know where our favourite textiles come from, how they were made and which materials were used…
